Disadvantages: - Less of the facial features are shown. - Part of the figure is out of view (beneath the desk).
General notes: Light source is only from the right and there is little reflected light.
Overall I prefer this sketch as the form is a lot more clearly seen and in many ways it's more interesting (for instance, much of the figure is shown in between frontal and profile).
Must remember to fill the whole page with the image, yet leave areas inside the image where nothing much is happening (will help to "lead the eye" around the image and make it look more balanced).
